The Experience

Visit Komego Miso, a historic miso brewery in Fukui that has been producing miso for about 200 years. Komego Miso has long supplied miso to Eiheiji Temple, the head temple of Soto Zen Buddhism, and is officially recognized as a trusted purveyor to the temple. If you are planning to visit Eiheiji Temple, this guided tour is highly recommended. Through this experience, you will discover the story of how Komego Miso has supported the daily Zen training at Eiheiji for generations. Join this program to experience the depth of Japanese food culture and the spirit of Zen through miso.
